Phase 1: Foundation

Establishment of VinFast’s state-of-the-art automotive manufacturing complex with globally leading scalability that boasts up to 90% automation in Hai Phong, Vietnam.
2018
The official launch of Lux models at the 2018 Paris Motor Show, awarded “A Star is Born” by AUTOBEST.
2019
Official launches of three car models, the Lux A2.0 sedan, Lux SA2.0 SUV, and city car Fadil along with three e-scooters: Ludo, Impes, and Klara, in the Vietnam market.
Phase 2: Acceleration
2020
VinFast’s new cars become the best-sellers in all three segments in Vietnam.
2021
Launch two new e-scooters: the Theon and Feliz, as well as Vietnam’s very first e-Bus.
2021
Launch of three brand new smart EVs: the VF e34, a compact SUV for the Vietnamese market, and the larger, all-electric premium SUVs: VF 8 and VF 9 for the global market.
Phase 3: Going Global

Announcement of VinFast’s all-electric strategy by 2023. Unveiling of the full electric vehicle line-up across all segments.

A Star is Born by AUTOBEST
Recognising the unprecedented number of new companies joining the industry, AUTOBEST launched a new award dedicated to new automotive industry start-ups and new ventures in the car industry and singled out VinFast to be the inaugural winner of their “A Star is Born” Award at the Paris Motor Show.
AUTOBEST is one of the most prestigious automotive jury associations in the world, which awards Best Buy Car Awards in Europe every year.

ASEAN NCAP is a global organisation that recognises standout performers and contributors to road safety, raises awareness, and encourages car manufacturers to meet higher safety standards.
